Freedom Classic 5K

Description

Dress in your red, white, and blue and spark your Independence Day spirit on our certified USATF course. Take off down Recreation Drive, cruise through scenic Loch Lomond, and race toward the finish at Keith Mione Community Park. Using our new timing company, we are proud to provide the best to all our participants in this professionally chip-timed event. Join the fun! Register online at mundeleinparks.org. The first 550 participants will receive a race t-shirt; all others may claim tee-shirt in weeks following the race—sign up by June 1 to guarantee your size!

There is a $100 cash prize for the 1st overall male and female finishers, plus medals for 1st–3rd place finishers in each age group.
All fees are non-refundable in the event of inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. By registering, participants acknowledge and agree to this policy.

Packet Pick-up:
Pre-Race Day (July 1-3): Held at the Mundelein Park & Recreation District 1401 N. Midlothian Rd. Pre-race Packet Pickup will close at 3 pm on July 3.
Race Day (July 4): Held inside The Dolan Recreation Center, 888 Dunbar Road. 6:30-7:45 am

Free! Firecracker Kids Fun Run
Complete the morning by watching the youngest feet compete in our FREE Firecracker Kids Fun Run at 9 am! Ages 10 & under can dash to the finish for a freeze pop and a medal—no registration required.

Celebrate your young runner with a limited edition race t-shirt available for purchase at the race. All proceeds benefit the Mundelein Parks Foundation for programming scholarships.
